…but you can follow me

if you step out of the shadows

Cold Feet

Liam Finn

your glowing face…

…like a stolen beam of the sun

From Liam Finn’s 2011 album, FOMO. Buy now on iTunes! http://bit.ly/zKkAGd While recording his sophomore album FOMO at his beach cottage in New Zealand in late 2010, Liam Finn found himself alone, missing friends, family and parties. His reliance on popular social networking sites and text messages to connect with loved ones inspired the tone and title of the record: the actions we take for Fear Of Missing Out. Seeking to record songs that would instantly grab the listener, Finn and co-producer Burke Reid looked for sonic triggers that wouldn’t just set a spark, but create an expansive listening experience that demonstrates a manic, off-the-cuff exuberance. Album standouts such as “Neurotic World,” “Cold Feet,” “The Struggle” and “Jump Your Bones” marry ’60s melodics with spiraling keyboards and distorted guitars and vocals.

WILDlife on show

I think I caught a glimpse of truth

…in the corner of her eyes

It was right above “I’ll bite your hand”

…just beneath a grateful disguise

They lied about the taste of life

…forced to spend her days on show

Acting all cutesy for the audience

…while her suffering continues to grow

Bleeding through the smiles and clicks

…her frustration is silently stuck

All she really wants is her freedom

…to claim a WILDlife and run amuck

PussyFoot lesson about the inner Tigers

running amock : Hantu Belian “the devil inside”

Running amok, sometimes referred to as simply amok, also spelled amuk, from the Javanese language, is “an episode of sudden mass assault against people…..

Amok originated from the Malay/Indonesian word mengamuk, which when roughly defined means “to make a furious and desperate charge”.[5] According to Malay/Indonesian culture, amok was rooted in a deep spiritual belief.[6] They believed that amok was caused by the hantu belian,[7] which was an evil tiger spirit that entered one’s body and caused the heinous act. As a result of the belief, those in Indonesian culture tolerated amok and dealt with the after-effects with no ill will towards the assailant.[8]

HIGH rise

Eight lifetimes of learning together

Six continents they dared to explore

Four corners of the globe shattered

Two hearts they could not ignore

Seven worlds designed to collide

Five years were lost and lonely

Three days into darkness and despair

One moment in time slowly

Nine lives of pussyfooting twogether

today’s song choice…. People Are Like Suns

suffering terminal indecision

I’ve always let my feeling flow

like water from the tap

running hot and cold

but it’s only myself I con

It’s safer to do nothing, with so much going on……

Conflicting emotions, never let me be
Conflicting emotions, always in the way
Conflicting emotions, making everything so hard for me

The main obstacle in my way, is terminal indecision
I waver and I sway
My friends don’t know who I am
One day I’m in clover, next day in a jam

BEESflower
And all of my tomorrows and all my yesterdays belong to you

Conflicting emotions, never let me be
Conflicting emotions, always in the way
Conflicting emotions, making everything so hard for me

Conflicting emotions, never let me be
Conflicting emotions, always in the way
Conflicting emotions, making everything so hard for me
